If you’re joining us, at least one person was injured in a “massive attack” by Russian drones on the Ukrainian capital Monday night, the city’s mayor said.
A 27-year-old woman has been hospitalized with “moderate” injuries caused by falling debris in a southern part of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko said on Telegram.
“Big attack! Stay inside!” the mayor said, adding that a multi-storey building was also damaged in the Holosiivskyi district.
The city’s military administration said the nighttime attack was carried out using drones.
Falling debris caused a fire at a house in the southern Darnytskyi district, and three cars also caught fire in the central Pechersky district, the administration said.
Air raid sirens wailed overnight in Kiev and in the central areas of Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv and the southern Kherson region.
Russian forces fired a barrage of rockets at Kiev earlier Monday, sending panicked residents in an unusual daytime assault on the Ukrainian capital seeking cover after overnight strikes.
