The young man died the day after his accident. Supported by rescue workers in an absolute state of emergency, he did not survive.

Yesterday, Saturday, November 5, at the beginning of the afternoon, the emergency services intervened on the banks of the Marsouins river in Saint-Benoit. A 27-year-old man was lifeless in the water.

Rescuers fished him out from a depth of 2 meters and were able to revive him. The man was transported to CHU Nord in an absolute state of emergency.

According to the first elements, the man was with a group of friends. He is said to have jumped off the bridge into the river. The work is often a place to immerse yourself in the water courtyard below.

A dangerous practice, as the SDIS reminded us yesterday and therefore called for caution in relation to this type of activity. In fact, the emergency services are being called more and more frequently for this type of intervention.

River bridges, Bassin 18 and now the NRL Viaduct are places of challenge for the adventurous.
