Sandra Bernhard and AOC join forces on the strike line in New York on Monday as actors continue their strike for more wages and protections

Sandra Bernhard and other striking actors walked along the picket line with a senior politician Monday in New York.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez arrived at the march with a large group carrying signs and shouting chants.

Sandra, 68, looked comfortable in a white SAG AFTRA t-shirt and light navy pants.

The American Horror Story actress wore natural-looking makeup and styled her red hair in loose waves.

The Pose star wore dark shades.

The Democratic lawmaker representing the Bronx wore a black T-shirt that read “SAG AFTRA Strong.”

Her dark hair was styled in a half ponytail and she wore natural-looking makeup with her signature red lip.

The representative of the US House of Representatives, who is in her second term, joined other protesters who chanted “stand up, get down, New York is a Union City” in a video shared on Sandra’s Instagram page.

“Honey Miss @aoc turned up for us today!” the Roseanne actress wrote alongside the video.

“Never forget where our ally stands.” Of course she wants @sagaftra members to be protected because she is pro-union!’ said the comedian.

“She’s a @thedemocrats, she cares about the working class as we all need to do.” Sandra continued.

“It was a great day on the picket line, I made new friends, deepened my respect for my fellow actors, good people to look after me, solid and kind, support them and all union members!”

The 33-year-old AOC was equally thrilled to walk through the picket line.

Solidarity:

Solidarity: “Ultimately, we all face the same challenge, which is an unacceptable, unprecedented concentration of wealth and corporate greed in America.” But we know that by standing together in solidarity, we can prevent that,” AOC said

“Our solidarity is stronger than their greed,” she wrote next in her own video post on social media.

In the video, the former bartender and waitress explained, “We have workers across the country who are either on strike or preparing to strike,” she said, referring not only to the current writers’ and actors’ strikes, but also to an upcoming strike that could put about 340,000 UPS workers on picket lines on Aug. 1 if the union and management can’t reach an agreement.

“Ultimately, we all face the same challenge: an unacceptable, unprecedented concentration of wealth and corporate greed in America. But we know that we can put an end to this by standing together in solidarity,” said the politician.

“Honestly, while this is a fight against AI, more than AI,” she said, citing concerns that actors’ images and performances could be digitally manipulated or that studios could use artificial intelligence instead of humans to write screenplays, “this is a fight against greed,” she said.

“How many private jets does David Zaslav need?” she asked, referring to the current CEO and President of Warner/Discovery. One of the pickets on Monday was outside the media outlet’s offices.

‘Really? How many private jets do these CEOs need?

“It’s insatiable. That’s unacceptable and I don’t know how anyone can say, ‘I need another hundred million dollars before someone else can get medical attention.’ Who does that?’ She asked.

The Milliken Institute’s chief global strategist told Yahoo Finance that the combined writers’ and actors’ strikes could result in $4 billion in damage to the US economy.

If UPS workers quit, the Anderson Economic Group estimates that “a 10-day strike would cost the US economy about $7 billion, with workers suffering $1.1 billion in lost wages and UPS suffering $816 million in losses.”
