Established in 2001, the Chopard Trophy is given to two young actors to recognize and advance their careers in the film industry, and this year the award went to Sheila Atim and Jack Lowden.
Thursday’s awards ceremony comes after a host of stars from the showbiz world attended the opening night of Tuesday’s Cannes Film Festival.
After Cannes was canceled entirely in 2020 and held under strict health protocols in 2021, the red carpet returned in all its glory on Tuesday night for the opening ceremony.
