Seven wounded in another Ukrainian attack on Russia’s Bryansk region

MOSCOW, April 14 (Prensa Latina) Seven people, including a pregnant woman and a child, were injured in an attack launched from Ukraine today in the Klímovsk district of the Briansk region of Russia, the local hospital reported.

According to the emergency services of the Novozybkóvskaya Central Regional Hospital, where they were taken, the child and two adults are in serious condition, while the other injured are stable.

The governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz reported that the shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit two houses in the area and caused injuries.

“The relevant services and the Ministry of Emergency Situations are working on site. People are getting all the medical help they need,” he wrote on his Telegram network account.

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) the day before reported another mortar attack from Ukrainian territory near the Novye Yurkóvichi border checkpoint in the same region of that country.

According to the FSB border department, two vehicles carrying more than 30 refugees on their way from Ukraine to Russia were damaged during the shelling, but no one was injured.

Yesterday, Russia’s Defense Ministry warned that if enemy forces make further incursions into the Eurasian nation’s border regions, its forces will launch attacks on military command posts, including in Kyiv.

“Our army has so far refrained from doing this,” said the spokesman for the military unit, Major General Igor Konashenkov.

Russian regions bordering Ukraine have activated their high-level terrorist threat logs (yellow) in recent days, warning of possible attacks and provocations from the neighboring country’s territory.
