Berlin – Horrible discovery Prenzlauer Berg Volkspark in Berlin! Two women found a human thigh while walking their dogs on Tuesday. The severed part of the body was in a tree. A homicide squad is investigating.

According to police, the two women's dogs attacked around 9 am. They searched the area with sparse bushes and found a large piece of flesh and bones in the grass. The dog owners alerted the police.

A forensic doctor called by investigators determined at the scene that it could indeed be a human body part. The 3rd Homicide Commission took over the investigation.

Police officers were also on nearby streets. A police spokesperson told BILD: “No other body parts have been found so far, but the search continues.”

A forensic medical examination should now clarify whether it is actually human tissue. The first assessment by the local medical examiner is not considered absolutely certain.

But if it is confirmed, it is necessary to clarify whether they come from a living or dead person. “In addition, conclusions can be drawn about age and gender,” the spokesperson said.
