Sexual assault allegations: singer Luck Mervil back in court – TVA Nouvelles

Singer Luck Mervil has to face justice again. He is accused of sexually assaulting a person in Rimouski in 2000.

The singer was arrested on November 29 by investigators from the Rimouski Criminal Investigation Department. Police traveled to Montreal to arrest and question him.

He is accused of sexually abusing a woman in Rimouski on the night of June 23-24, 2000.

The case is subject to a publication ban to protect the identity of the complainant, who was of legal age at the time of the alleged events.

Another sexual affair

It is the second time the 56-year-old singer has been in trouble with the law in connection with sex crimes.

In 2018, he admitted sexually exploiting a babysitter for six months in the 1990s. At that time he was sentenced to six months of house arrest in addition to his entry on the sex offenders register.

The singer, who has made a career all over the world, recently requested to be removed from this register, insisting that it had an impact on the development of his career.
