Simon Cowell has revealed the rules he follows for the perfect work-life balance.
The 64-year-old music mogul has cut back his working hours to spend more time with his partner Lauren Silverman and their son Eric, 10.
He now also sticks to the four-day week because he believes that working on a Friday is “just pointless.”
He told The Sun: “Actually the first thing I do is take Fridays off. “Don’t work on Fridays because that’s not necessary.
“Have dinner at five o’clock. Do not answer calls after 5:30 p.m. Do not read emails after 5:30 p.m. Watch a happy movie. And stay outside. I’m not kidding about Fridays.

Simon has overhauled his hectic lifestyle after years of working on shows such as The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talents, which have a demanding schedule.
This comes after Simon showed off his smooth complexion and wore a pair of quirky orange sunglasses while attending America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League on Wednesday.
The newest spin-off of the America’s Got Talent series is scheduled to premiere on January 1, 2024.
With the big debut fast approaching, Simon cut a relaxed figure as he attended the red carpet event at Red Studios in Los Angeles.
After the original series, there have now been three spin-offs: AGT: The Champions, AGT: Extreme, AGT: All-Stars and now AGT: Fantasy League.
For this latest edition, each judge selects a list of their favorite actors, selecting winners, finalists, viral sensations and fan favorites from the AGT franchise.
The process of forming a talent team has been likened to a fantasy sports draft.

Simon will be joined by fellow judges Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Mel B, while Terry Crews will host the show.
For the first time in the show’s history, fans will have the opportunity to vote on the America’s Got Talent app from the start.
For the first time, each judge will compete alongside the contestants, mentoring and guiding the talent through the competition in hopes of helping to shape the eventual winner.
In a judge versus judge formula, everyone will fill their fantasy teams with 10 different files selected from the draft pool.
“America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League” premieres Monday, January 1 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.
