According to the official final result published by the State Election Commission on Sunday, the strongest party was the left-wing national opposition party “Direction – Slovak Social Democracy” (Smer-SSD) led by former head of government Robert Fico . However, it is still unclear whether he will actually lead the future government. Continued military aid to Ukraine will also depend on the formation of a government in Bratislava.
