Various sources have revealed details of the WF-G700, a headphone that Sony will market under its Inzone gaming brand. To recall, the company has launched five Inzone products so far, including the H3, H7 and H9 headsets. It looks like the WF-G700 (Inzone Buds) will be the first pair of earbuds sold under the Inzone brand, and the Inzone H5 is likely to launch soon.
Accordingly @MysteryLupin And RolandSony will sell the Inzone Buds for $199 and around 200 euros. The headphones will therefore be about a third cheaper than the WF-1000XM5. On the other hand, the earbuds will cost about the same as the LinkBuds S, which came onto the market almost a year ago. Based on the information released by Quandt so far, the Inzone Buds will support Bluetooth LE Audio and USB Type-C connectivity, with Sony providing a suitable dongle for the latter.
Quandt adds that the headphones also support active noise cancellation (ABC) and Inzone 360 spatial audio. It is understandable that enabling these technologies reduces battery life, which Sony puts at 12 hours when connected to the included low-latency USB-C adapter or 24 hours via Bluetooth Low Energy (LE Audio). These battery life estimates are partly due to the Sony L1, a chipset that Quandt says is designed for minimal power consumption. Unfortunately, the release details are currently unknown.
