season 1
It all starts with us being introduced to the kids Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Dustin (Gate Matarazzo), and Will (Noah Schnapp). The boys liked to play together Dungeons and Dragonsbut the routine changes when Will disappears.
Will, the son of Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder), disappears on his bike on his way home after a game. The boy is captured by Upside Down and from there communicates with his mother and brother Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) through the famous colored lights on the wall.
As the boys try to find Will, they discover Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), a strange girl with paranormal powers. She escaped from Hawkins’ lab where she was conducting experiments, eventually opening the way to the Upside Down there.
in the first season of stranger things, we also meet Jim Hopper (David Harbour), a Hawkins detective who helps Joyce find Will. As the episodes progress, he discovers that something is wrong in the town’s lab.
One of the most memorable characters of the season is Barb Holland (Shannon Purser), Nancy’s (Natalia Dyer) best friend. The teenager also disappeared into the Upside Down and was one of the Demogorgon’s first victims. His death was very sad and memorable.
The series also features a trio consisting of Nancy, Jonathan and Steve (Joe Keery) and they also investigate what happened to Will and Barb.
Using her powers, Eleven manages to enter the Upside Down and discovers that Will is alive, but to save him she must face the dangerous Demogorgon monster. The character practically sacrifices itself for this good, but it all works out in the end.

With Hopper’s help, Eleven hides in a cabin and stays there for almost a year, and the only one who knows about it is Mike, her best friend. After a frustrated period, she runs away and sees Mike talking to Max (Sadie Sink), a new student, and becomes jealous.
Max has an older brother named Billy (Dacre Montgomery) who has a very complicated personality. He is known in Hawkins for dating many girls, including older married women, and for treating children badly.
Back in hiding, Eleven discovers that her biological mother is alive but suffering aftereffects after undergoing electroshock therapy while attempting to rescue her daughter from the lab. She also discovers a sister named Kali, also known as Eight.
Eleven comes to spend time with Kali and her friends, but returns to Hawkins when she realizes her friends are in danger again. Once there, she saves the boys from a Demodog and realizes she must close the portal to the Upside Down once and for all.
Hopper adopts Eleven as his daughter and names her Jane Hopper. The girl attends the prom, dances with Mike and experiences her first kiss. Whoever stays together are Jonathan and Nancy after she broke up with Steve. Speaking of high school, Joyce is dating an old classmate named Bob Newby (Sean Astin).
Unfortunately, Bob doesn’t have a good fate, he falls victim to the Demogorgon while trying to save Hopper from the Upside Down, leaving everyone devastated.
Will is still not free from paranormal dangers as he is connected to the shadow monster that possessed him. In order for him to save himself, Eleven must go to the Upside Down and destroy the monster, a very risky mission but one that works.
