(ANSA) – HERAT, 02 OCT. – Taliban authorities broke up a demonstration of about 100 women – mostly Hazara women – who fired shots in the air today in the western city of Herat, Afghanistan. The demonstrators said they had been beaten. “Education is our right, genocide is a crime,” chanted the protesters, dressed in hijabs and black scarves, the students were stopped by heavily armed Taliban troops. They were protesting Friday’s attack in Kabul that killed 35 people and wounded 82 others, mostly girls and young women.
