If the amount of tax calculated on your tax return is lower than what you paid in 2021, you are actually entitled to a refund. This will take place in the summer of 2022. The public service website states that the transfer will take place between July 21 and August 5, 2022.
If you benefit from a refund, it has been paid directly into the known bank account of DGFiP if you have provided one, otherwise you will receive the refund by check sent to your home address for cashing at your facility.
