Taylor Swift drove local fans crazy when she announced: “Melbourne, you are the love of my life.”
The pop superstar made the comments during her third sold-out concert as part of her Eras Tour at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Sunday evening.
Swift, 34, told the crowd: “A little stadium girl math for you… 96,000 people the first night, 96,000 people the second night. '96,000 people tonight.'
“These are all the biggest shows I’ve ever played on tour and you’ve done it three times,” she added.
“The math says there are 288,000 people in Melbourne in three nights. 'You are the love of my life.'

Melbourne returned the love by giving Swift a minute-long ovation.
“This is unforgettable for me, I will never forget it,” an emotional Swift explained.
This isn't the first time Swift has shown her love for Melbourne on this tour.
International Swifties took to social media to vent after Swift gifted Melbourne fans a very special surprise song in the form of a mashup of her tracks “Getaway Car”, “The Other Side of the Door” and “August”.

“What made her do this?” one fan exclaimed on Twitter.
“Does Taylor owe Australia money or something?” said another.
Another shared a meme of a stone-faced NFL player during a ticker tape parade with the caption: “The rest of the world watches Melbourne get its getaway car x August x the other side of the door mashup.”

Fans of Taylor's first Melbourne Cricket Ground concert were also treated to the singer's world-first announcement that the special edition of The Tortured Poets Department would feature a new song called The Bolter.
The outrage came after a die-hard fan miraculously snagged a ticket to Swift's Eras Tour concert after a player had to leave the concert early as a gesture of goodwill.
In a video shared on TikTok, one of the thousands of ticketless fans waiting outside the MCG managed to get into the concert thanks to the friendly Swiftie.
The short clip shows stunned fans watching as the concertgoer sends the fan the ticket before they hug and the woman runs into the venue.
According to the comments, the exchange occurred near the end of the three-hour concert during the show's final Midnights era.
“Vigilante S**t” can be heard in the background.

With three shows scheduled in Melbourne this weekend, thousands of fans who hadn't received tickets gathered outside the MCG, singing and dancing to Swift's hits.
The international trend has given rise to the term “Taylor-gating”, although the MCG has warned fans not to attend the venue unless they have ticket holders.
Ahead of the concert on February 6, the venue said there would be “no activations” and no live broadcast of the show at Yarra Park, reminding fans of rules that prohibit drinking and setting up tents, marquees or Ban grills.
Swift mania will hit Sydney the following weekend, with the pop star set to perform at four shows from Friday February 23rd to Monday February 26th.
