Taylor Swift's father Scott, 71, is accused of attacking an Australian photographer on a Sydney wharf as the megastar left his hair down until 3am after wrapping his Eras tour.
Police confirmed that 71-year-old Scott Swift allegedly attacked 51-year-old Ben McDonald at a ferry dock in Neutral Bay around 3am on Tuesday morning.
It is understood Taylor and her father were being sent to a party to celebrate her final performance in Sydney at the time of the alleged incident.
North Shore Police Command has launched an investigation into the alleged incident.
Mr McDonald told Chron Australia that Taylor and Scott got off a boat from Homebush, where the performance was taking place, and allegedly attacked him.
Originally thinking it was a security guard, he was shocked to realize the alleged attacker was Scott.

“In 23 years I’ve never seen anything like this,” he said.
He didn't know what sparked the alleged assault, but said, “Probably for some reason he decided he had to defend his daughter.”
“She got out of the boat, walked towards security guards who were holding umbrellas in our faces and then he stormed off.”
Mr McDonald does not believe he will suffer any permanent injuries but he has “very sore spots” on the left side of his face.
