A 17yearold teenager died after eating a rice cake with nuts. The tragedy occurred in September last year, but the young woman’s mother is calling for further investigation and clarification.
The victim is Hollie Stokes, a student who lived in Redditch, a district in England. According to Chron, the young woman collapsed in the backyard of a friend’s house after having lunch at the restaurant where she worked as a cleaner.
Hollie knew she was allergic to nuts, she just didn’t know the cupcake contained that ingredient. The restaurant manager at the time said the girl was a vegetarian and therefore asked if the food contained meat, but did not mention nuts.
The mother’s outburst
The student’s mother, Kerrie Stokes, remembers her daughter leaving the house at 2 p.m. on September 15 and that was her farewell. “The next time I saw her was in her friend’s backyard around 11 p.m. and she was dead,” Kerrie remembers.

According to the mother, police and ambulances were everywhere. “She died a terrible and undignified death where she couldn’t even get to the hospital,” he stressed.
Investigations charged
The release said West Mercia Police arrested a woman on suspicion of murder two days after Hollie’s death. But he released her after the investigation was completed.
However, the girl’s family is not satisfied with the police’s actions. They are still demanding answers about the teen’s death.
