Video shows teenager being pelted with toys in a park in Thailand

A 16yearold teenager was thrown from a ride at an amusement park in Thailand’s Nakhon Si Thammarat province last Sunday (15). The images are strong. See video above.

The attraction is called “Crazy Wave,” a toy that spins in circles, and was defective, according to Portal.

As the pictures show, the girl sat on the toy and started filming. But as the toy picked up speed, the young girl appeared to slide down the safety bars until she was thrown into the air and fell to the ground.

The park shut down the ride as other people rushed to help the injured teenager to her feet. She was taken to hospital and required 23 stitches in her legs.

Local media reported that the girl’s family and the park had reached an agreement and no legal action would be taken. According to Portal, the park agreed to cover medical costs worth 16,000 THB (US$439) and paid an additional 3,000 THB (US$82) so that the girl’s mother would not press charges.

Speaking to the local press, the young woman stated that she “felt a problem with the safety bar” but did not expect it to fail during operation.

“I was so scared that I thought I was going to die. I’ll never do a trip like that again.”

The girl’s mother said the Crazy Wave attraction had already been shut down for repairs before it reopened.

Meanwhile, the attraction’s owner attributed the accident to a control system malfunction after the attraction became drenched in rain.
