Telecinco will resume one of its star formats, Big Brother Vip, this fall with Marta Flich as presenter, Mediaset España announced in a statement on Thursday. The celebrity reality show returns to the grid for its eighth installment after four years without television.
The current presenter of Todo es mentira (Cuatro) replaces Jorge Javier Vázquez at the helm of the show, who at the time were already presenting Jesús Vázquez and Jordi González. Produced in collaboration with Zeppelin (Banijay Iberia), the reality show reboot will once again open the doors of the house in Guadalix de la Sierra to allow a group of famous participants to live together. Although the essence of the format is maintained, there will be innovations in the mechanics of the competition, the communication group has made progress.
Last April, a ruling by the Madrid Supreme Court sentenced José María López, a former participant in the anonymous broadcast, to 15 months in prison for sexually abusing another space participant, Carlota Prado, during a live broadcast party. The controversy kept the format off television until that court settlement was reached. The Zeppelin production company must jointly and severally compensate the victim with Chubb European Group LTD 1,000 euros as compensation for the additional moral damage caused by the way in which the crime of which he was a victim was communicated the next morning.
