The artist says it’s a “great honor” to draw illustrations for the Princess’ Christmas carol concert

An artist chosen by the Princess of Wales to underwrite the invitation to her Christmas carol concert has described it as “a tremendous honor and privilege” to be part of the event.

Kate Middleton will host the event honoring the late Queen at Westminster Abbey on Thursday December 15 before it airs on ITV on Christmas Eve.

The King announced the news on Twitter by sharing a video clip of London’s Aurelie Baudry Palmer sketching a snowy scene inside the church, complete with trees decorated with fairy lights and a number of Corgi dogs outside.

Sharing a snap of the finished image on her Instagram page, Aurelie wrote: “I have just had the great honor and privilege of illustrating the invitation to Westminster Abbey’s Christmas service on behalf of @princeandprincessofwales.

She added: “Put Thursday December 15th on your calendar! It will also be on @ITV on Christmas Eve.’

It is not known how the Princess of Wales found the illustrator, who originally came from France and now lives in London.

Kate and Prince William shared the video on their official KensingtonRoyal social media accounts on Friday night and wrote: “A date for your diary this December!

“And you can come to this very special Christmas service on @ITV on Christmas Eve.”

The purpose of the service is to recognize the selflessness of individuals and communities in the UK and to highlight the importance of supporting others in difficult times.

The event, led by the Royal Foundation-backed Princess of Wales Band, will showcase the “joy” of coming together in friendships and community events that support people in times of difficulty and loss.

It is intended to appeal to people of all faiths as well as people who do not practice any faith or religion.

Royal fans can expect members of the Royal Family to attend the event as the late Queen is commemorated in a ceremony that honors some core values ​​she has shown throughout her life – including empathy and compassion.
