‘Real Housewives of Brisbane’ cast revealed – amid news Foxtel hit reality series has been ‘put on hold’
According to a new report, the Real Housewives of Brisbane series was already in a cast before it was shelved.
Glamorous contestants included PR queen Fleur Madden, couture designer Sonia Stradiotto and jewelry designer Jimena Alejandra.
Despite attempts to get the reality series on the air, Foxtel is said to have dropped the Brisbane edition in favor of a second Sydney season.
Jimena tells Adelaide Now that she was approached in 2002, “but then they told us they were canceling it.”
Fleur added that the network has plans to make the series different and less frivolous than its processors.

Several high-profile women were approached by producers and some reportedly turned down the opportunity, choosing to keep their lives private.

The women reportedly approached by the producers include a celebrity fashion designer, a WAG and a radio host.
A well-known real estate agent and a glamorous Gold Coast socialite are also set to star in the series.
The final season of the Foxtel series about wealthy celebrities was set in Melbourne, but it was met with severe criticism from fans when it ended last year.
Foxtel first considered the Gold Coast as a location for the hit show five years ago.
