The Festival d’été de Québec (FEQ) on Wednesday unveiled the list of artists who will be performing on the Plains of Abraham in July. Among them are the Foo Fighters, who have asked to be part of the lineup themselves.

At least that’s what program director Louis Bellavance revealed to QUB Radio on Thursday. He recalled that Foo Fighters made their debut on the FEQ stage in 2015. This legendary concert ended after only four songs due to a violent storm.
The FEQ and the members of the group have since developed close ties. They returned to play there in 2018.
“And this year, when they decided to continue their journey and hit the road again despite the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins, they called us,” said Mr. Bellavance at Anaïs Guertin-Lacroix’s mic.
“They said they wanted us to be part of this new chapter. [qui s’écrit pour les Foo Fighters].”
There will certainly be “a great deal of emotional distress” for the program director on July 8 in the Plains of Abraham.
