From his first films, Michael Haneke has shaken the steadfastness of viewers, even achieving unusual works such as the recent “Love”. In “Funny Games”, his fourth film, the Austrian director relies on cinematic aggression to create an emotional and intellectual explosion. A work that moves the stomach and conscience and tests the concept of depicting violence on screen. The barbaric crimes committed by a few teenagers against a family in their vacation home bleed in twisted ways in a film that is as perverse as it is painful, as daring as it is subversive, and that also functions as a hurtful metaphor for a monstrous society.
“When fate catches up with us”

It's always a good time to justify Richard Fleischer's cinema. The cinema of a director who founded classic Hollywood, who worked for two decades under the large studio system and who, without being able to be considered an author, imbued with his personality the images of such emblematic films as “The Vikings” and “Tragic Saturday” masterpieces by artists like The Boston Strangler and Criminal Impulse. Fleischer delivers a science fiction classic that delves into a bleak future and transforms New York into an overcrowded bubble of unbreathable air. A dark, suffocating work in which his ecological proclamation lives between darkness and misery. As a climax, it marks the last appearance of the great Edward G. Robinson on the screen.
The police and their daily work

A new part of the documentary series 091: Police Alert appears on DMAX, which patrols the Spanish streets together with various units of the National Police. On this occasion, viewers will see, among other things, how the agents intervene in the investigation of a theft of more than 50 liters of gasoline or how they prepare the search device for a man accused of attacking several women in a brothel.

The Municipal Palace of Ifema in Madrid will be the venue for the 2023 Forqué Awards ceremony. The best feature films produced in Spain will be brought together at an event in which the series La Mesías and the film Cerrar los ojos record a greater number of nominations. The event will be hosted by Macarena Gómez and Pablo Chiapella and will feature performances by Ana Mena, Fran Perea, Taburete and Vicco.
