In 1985 the film The Goonies was released. In the plot, a group of boys find a mysterious map that leads to important treasure. Then they follow the clues and end up in an underground world full of traps and secret passages.
Directed by Richard Donner and distributed Warner Bros Entertainment, the feature film had a budget of $19 million and grossed $125 million at the worldwide box office. “The Goonies” has been classified as “significant” for preservation by the United States National Film Registry.
Among the characters is Mikey Walsh, played by an actor Sean Astin. Time passed and he turned 52 after also appearing in the cast of the acclaimed Netflix series “Stranger Things”plays the character Bob Newby.
Born in California, USA, the actor is currently 52 years old. He studied history at the University of Los Angeles. He also appeared in The Lord of the Rings and is coauthor of a book entitled There and Back Again: An Actor’s Tale chronicling his experiences before and after the blockbuster film.
