A haunting image of Nashville elementary school kids escaping a mass shooting holding hands is eerily reminiscent of the same scene in Sandy Hook 11 years ago.
Three children and three adults were shot dead Monday at Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee. The shooter, a 28-year-old woman, was killed by police.
And the Nashville tragedy recalls the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting that took place on December 14, 2012 in Newtown, Connecticut. It was the deadliest elementary school shooting in the country’s history.
Just as in the mass shooting 11 years ago, today young children were, one by one, being led away from the school building where bullets were raining down.
Holding hands and walking in single file, the images of Nashville children escaping tragedy today are identical to the photo of schoolchildren graduating from Sandy Hook School in 2012.
