The Longueuil Agglomeration Police Service (SPAL) is searching for potential victims of a 64-year-old man in connection with sex crimes in the region or elsewhere in Quebec.
Julien Bouchard was arrested on January 18 and is charged with sexual assault and sexual contact for acts against a minor.
Personal contact with minors and the use of the Internet for recreational purposes is prohibited.
“Bouchard was convicted in 2000 of sexual contact against a first minor victim, and given the new charges involving a second minor victim, the SPAL considers that he strongly believes that the defendant may have engaged in illegal acts committed against others of a sexual nature. “Victims of minor age,” specified the SPAL in a press release published on Tuesday morning.
It is said that the facts currently alleged occurred between 1996 and 1998.
Several victims have been identified so far. The Serial Crime Investigations Management Structure (GECS), coordinated by the Séreté du Québec, was put in place.
Quebec police forces work in partnership to quickly identify crimes committed and the strategy aims to better protect victims.
SPAL is asking anyone who has been a victim or has information about Julien Bouchard to contact us immediately at (450) 463-7211.
