‘I Need Some Paracetamol’: Bargain Hunt fans’ ‘roaring’ red slam team as host Charlie Ross is forced to silence the ‘loud’ contestants
Bargain Hunt fans slammed the “screaming” red team as host Charlie Ross was forced to silence the “loud” contestants during Thursday’s episode.
At the show, the antiques expert and auctioneer, 72, visited North Wales in search of bargains with two pairs of contestants.
But minutes into the episode, viewers joked that they needed “some acetaminophen and a mute button” as mother-daughter duo Denise and Giselle were introduced.
The Red Team, led by Richard Madley, was tasked with finding a household item, and as Charlie handed over the money, he exclaimed, “You’re very loud!”
During their search, fans complained that the couple “had too much personality” and claimed that the episode was “a tough watch.”

One person shared their thoughts on Twitter, writing: “@Bargain Hunt oh I see we have a red team from SHOUTY, annoying.”
Another added: “Memo to the casting director of #BargainHunt: There’s such a thing as *too much* personality. Don’t ever ask someone like the Red Mum ever again. This episode is such a tough watch.’
‘Charlie: “And what else do you need?” A mute button for that annoyingly loud mum on Team Red please!” posted a third.
One fan said: “Sweet Jesus what’s up with those red women.”
Last week, Bargain Hunt presenter Natasha Raskin Sharp asked viewers to check their lofts after a £400,000 “teapot” was found in a dusty attic after 50 years.
The 36-year-old host revealed the “ultimate bargain-hunting find” during a recent episode in which the antique was revealed to be a “rare Chinese wine jar.”
Auctioneer Charles Hanson described the yellow flower piece as “very sacred, very important and very rare”.
It goes on to say that the “ceremonial pitcher” would have held water at the court of Emperor Qianlong in the 18th century.

The porcelain pot was valued at £150 and was brought from Japan by the owner’s grandfather in the 1940s.
Saying: ‘Unknowingly of the owner, it was in his house, in his attic, for over 50 years.’
The expert further revealed that the jar is “only one of three known,” while the other two are in museums in Taiwan and Beijing.
After the expert beat it at £150,000, it fetched a whopping £390,000 at auction.
