In a one-sided game, the Laval Rocket lost heavily 5-1 to the Toronto Marlies at Place Bell on Saturday.
Striker Kieffer Bellows in particular gave the visitors the red light twice in their victory. The game changed in the second period as the Marlies scored three goals in just over seven minutes, scored by Nick Abruzzese, Joseph Blandisi and Josiah Slavin.

After these three successes, goalkeeper Kasimir Kaskisuo was replaced by Jakub Dobes in front of the Laval cage. The first city ended its short afternoon of work with 19 stops. The second, in turn, dropped the flag once out of 13 shots from his opponents. He also received an assist on Laval's only shorthanded goal, scored by Philippe Maillet.
Dennis Hildeby, who was responsible for stopping Laval's shots for Toronto, made 22 saves in his team's win.
So the Rocket ends their weekend with two losses, as they had already lost 4 to 1 against the Marlies on Friday evening. In the overall standings, Jean-François Houle's men are in sixth place in the North Section, now four points behind the Rochester Americans.
The Rocket face the Bridgeport Islanders on Wednesday before facing the Hartford Wolf Pack on Friday.
