Russian troops continue their offensive in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Russian troops liberated the town of Dorozhnianka in Zaporozhye Krai in an offensive that eliminated 50 members of the Ukrainian army, Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov reported today.
As the military spokesman indicated in his last press conference of the year this Saturday, his country’s troops are continuing their offensive in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
In particular, Russian troops attacked areas where enemy forces and war material were piling up using tactical and military aviation, artillery and flamethrower systems, she added.
Konashenkov stated that in the last 24 hours more than 80 Ukrainian soldiers, two armored personnel carriers, four armored vehicles and three trucks were destroyed in this area.
Meanwhile, the Russian army attacked units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Luhansk People’s Republic and as a result of the fighting, the enemy forces lost up to 140 soldiers and five tanks, the spokesman said.
Two Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopters were shot down by Russian Aerospace Forces fighters near the Donetsk cities of Novovasílievka and Novoekonomichesvoye, Konashenkov also said.
According to him, the anti-aircraft defense also eliminated eight unmanned aerial vehicles from Ukraine near Baranikovka in Lugansk, Kirilovka, Volnoye and Volodino in Donetsk; Vasilievka from the Zaporozhye region and Konstantinovka from the Kherson region.
In addition, it was reported that five US-made AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radars were destroyed near the cities of Chasov Yar, Artiomovsk, Avdeyevka and Vesioloye in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Two depots with missiles, weapons and artillery ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were also removed near the towns of Bogatyr in Donetsk and Kamenskoye in Zaporozhye region,” added the Defense Ministry spokesman.
