The trailer for “Rebel Moon” shows a mysterious stranger leading an uprising against a nefarious tyrannical force in director Zack Snyder’s sci-fi adventure

A little more than a month before its limited theatrical release, Netflix has released a new trailer for director Zack Snyder’s “Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire.”

The highly anticipated film is the first of a two-part project, with Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver – set to hit theaters on April 19, 2024.

Snyder has indicated in previous interviews that he has been working on this story for 20 years and that it was once a pitch for a new Star Wars film.

The trailer begins with Hagen (Ingvar Sigurdsson) telling Kora (Sofia Boutella): “When I first found you in the wreckage of that ship, I thought about leaving you.” I was afraid that you would cause us trouble could prepare.’

Kora is talking to another woman when she sees a huge ship land and immediately runs off.

Another man (Corey Stoll) asks, “What do you think they want?” A distraught Kora replies, “Everything.”

More ships follow as the nefarious Admiral Atticus Noble (Ed Skrein) abandons one of the ships as Kora watches intently from the distance.

Gunnar (Michiel Huisman) insists, “We’re just farmers.” “We’re not a threat,” while later around the campfire, Gunnar asks Kora, “They’re not just going to kill us, are they?”

Admiral Atticus shows his rather brutal side, causing many women to scream, while Kora tells Hagen, “You’re delusional. Do you think these soldiers will show them mercy?”

Later, Kora tells one of the soldiers to stop… but when he doesn’t, she easily takes out several soldiers and stuns the townspeople.

“We will have to fight,” Kora tells them as we see flashbacks of a younger Kora in battle as she tells Hagen, “I am a child of war.” “If we find warriors to fight with us…” Hagen concludes: “Maybe we have a chance.”

Kora is later seen trying to recruit more to her cause, telling someone, “We’re looking for soldiers to fight against the Mother World.”

Kai (Charlie Hunnam) tells her, “I could help you.” “For a small fee, of course,” as he smiles.

They are flying to another country when General Titus (Djimon Hounsou) finds them as Kora says, “I’m here to make you an offer. To give you a chance at redemption.”

Titus insists, “We are beyond redemption,” but she tries a different approach that seems to intrigue him: “What about revenge?”

Kora adds, “This isn’t just the pursuit of revolution,” as it turns out Kora is “the most wanted fugitive in the known universe.”

The trailer ends with a series of action-packed shots that illustrate the film’s vast scope.
