The real deals
It is easy to denounce Pierre Poilievre’s exaggerations and partisan distortions. There are many, I agree.
However, instead of frantically tweeting, Minister Marc Miller should focus on reforming the immigration system.
Too much bureaucracy, too complex management, too much risk orientation at the expense of customer service, a blind spot when it comes to asylum seekers – it’s not as if the diagnosis hasn’t been made.
The current deputy minister, Christiane Fox, also gave a very insightful interview to journalist Paul Wells on this topic.
It should be there, the Minister’s only priority.
