Huge waves hit US military installations in the Marshall Islands on Saturday, causing damage to infrastructure.
The incident occurred on the island of RoiNamur when waves reached a height of about 10 meters, knocking people over and damaging doors and furniture in facilities.
Video footage taken at the scene shows the moment the waves hit several people, knocking them over. They also show the level of destruction they left behind on the site.
One person was injured and taken to a local hospital where they are in stable condition.
US Army spokesman Mike Brantley told the Chron that military installations were assessing the damage and taking steps to repair it.
