This Monday, March 27th, many Peruvian fans came to the Concentration Hotel of the Peruvian team in Spain to show them all their support. In between, however, incidents broke out between bicolor footballers and members of that country’s police force. In the pictures, the starting goalkeeper of the Blanquirroja was violently pushed and punched by some police officers, while ‘Yoshi’ and Valera faced other police officers and a fight almost broke out for which they had to be separated.
You can also see that goalkeeper José Carvallo tried to reassure the national fans to prevent this conflict from escalating. So far, the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) has not commented on this fact.
Pedro Gallese testified after the Spanish police attack
After these incidents Pedro Gallese explained to the national press on the outskirts of the concentration hotel the Peruvian team and confirmed that they were attacked by the Spanish police officers.
“We want to greet people and they start hitting us,” he told América Televisión cameras, very confused by the situation he was experiencing. Likewise, the ‘Octopus’ showed how his shirt had fallen out after being pulled by the troops.
