For the release of his album That's me nowJennifer Lopez decided to self-produce a medium-length film titled This is me… now: A love story to the script by none other than Ben Affleck, who also plays a hilarious role. Here are five good reasons to watch this huge blockbuster video clip, available on Prime Video on February 16th.
1. The story completely exploded
Jennifer Lopez has reinterpreted her romantic history and describes herself as an emotional addict due to her repeated marriages. She begins “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story” by telling the Puerto Rican legend of Alida, a young girl in love with a boy from an enemy tribe who has turned into a hummingbird, a legend that with which her mother shattered her childhood. This narrative serves as a framework for the adult J.Lo as she goes from one marriage to the next (in real life, the star was married four times) without ever taking the time to be alone. It is this quest riddled with pitfalls, told with a lot of self-deprecation and whose script was written by Ben Affleck, Matt Walton, Dave Meyers (the director) and Chris Shafer.
2. Big names
This fictional Jennifer Lopez's love life is overseen by a “Council of Zodiac Signs” that includes Sofia Vergara, Jane Fonda, Post Malone, Keke Palmer, Trevor Noah and Neil de Grasse Tyson! Her successive husbands are played by Trevor Jackson, Tony Bellissimo and dancer Derek Hough, who looks exactly like Chris Hemsworth.

3. The songs
Apparently, This Is Me…Now: A Love Story is a visual and marketing support intended to promote the simultaneous release of his new album This Is Me…Now: A Love Story. There's of course Can't Get Enough, the single released a few weeks ago. We are also treated to “Rebound, Broken Like Me”, presented during a group therapy session in a group of emotional addicts, with a few notes of “Hummingbird” and of course “This Is Me… Now”, the sequel to ” This Is Me.” .. Then from 2002.
4. Visuals
Touted as a visual album or musical film (not a musical), This Is Me…Now: A Love Story features impressive sets, some futuristic like that of this factory with a giant mechanical heart, others Hollywood like his apartments in New York. We also see Jennifer Lopez at the wedding of one of her friends, in a setting somewhere between a video game and a trip to India. The choreographies in the factory scenes are perfectly timed and the one in the rain inevitably brings to mind “Let’s sing in the rain”. And yes, with a production budget of an estimated $20 million, we're not surprised by the visual extravagances.

5. Ben Affleck
Apparently Ben Affleck appears in the credits… and not just as a co-writer. J.Lo's new husband and ex-fiancé is also Rex Stone's interpreter, a kind of expert in a blonde wig, a hairstyle halfway between a Longueuil cut and Donald Trump's, and speaks on a television channel. Continuous information. We also find him in the credits, where he tries to answer the very serious question: Is astrology real? As you can see, self-deprecation reigns supreme among the Bennifers!
