Three people died in a house fire in a Paris suburb on Saturday night. Six residents were injured and a child’s life was in danger, the police prefecture said. A firefighter was also injured during the operation in Stains. According to authorities, the three people who died were tenants of a third-floor apartment, her sister and a friend.
A six-year-old boy who lived on the first floor was seriously injured in the fire. 88 firefighters and 24 vehicles responded to the fire at the six-story building.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. The community accommodated other residents and neighbors in a sports hall. The building with around 15 residents is expected to be renovated next week and residents will be transferred to temporary accommodation, as explained by Mayor Azzedine Taibi. Stains is located approximately 15 kilometers north of the capital.
