The company announced the death of Dave Hebner on Saturday.

“Hebner and his brother Earl helped write one of the most memorable moments in WWE history when Andre The Giant and Hogan met for the WWE Championship in the 1988 WWE Main Event. With Dave locked in a closet, Earl and ‘Million Dollar Man’ Ted DiBiase set a trap for The Hulkster. As Dave stepped into the ring with Earl, he made a confused Hogan double-click in disbelief,” the company said.
Earl Hebner tweeted about Dave’s death.
