Tonight on TV: Films and shows from today, Thursday, September 21st

What movies and TV programs are on tonight, Thursday, September 21st? Let’s take a look together at the digital terrestrial programming of the main Rai and Mediaset networks. From a new episode of Ulysses: Joy of Discovery to the third episode of the reality show Big Brother. But if you’re looking for a movie, there’s no shortage of choice.

Welcome to a new appointment with Digital Terrestrial and its program offering for this evening. As always, we will be there On TV tonight to help you choose the ideal entertainment. We start as always with the first channel, Rai 1, where we find another episode of Ulysses: the joy of discovery, directed by Alberto Angela. The episode about the life and story of Anne Frank continues, visiting the places where she grew up and where she would have liked to study to become a famous writer. Fate decided differently for her a few days after the Allies arrived, but still made her immortal through the pages of her diary.

While on Canale 5 the double weekly appointment continues with the Big Brother, hosted by Alfonso Signorini with commentator Cesara Buonamici in the studio. The change from Friday to Thursday was a decision by the channel to allow Massimo Ranieri’s novel “The Voice You Inside” to compete with the new edition of the Tale e Quale show. Tonight we will find out the result of the televoting between the four nominees: Beatrice Luzzi, Vittorio Menozzi, Lorenzo Remotti and Arnold Cardarapoli.

Finally, the game will be broadcast on TV8 from the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo UEFA Europa League between Gasperini’s Atalanta and Polish team Rakow Czestochova, who are taking part in European competition for the first time ever.

Tonight on TV: Films from the digital terrestrial program

Of course, the offer cannot end here, and before we leave you with the list of today’s films, we would like to recommend two in particular to you. Let’s start with Twenty Seven, which features the comedy that won the 1993 Oscar and BAFTA for Best Special Effects. Death makes you beautiful. The production initially chose Kevin Kline for the role of Ernest, but when the actor demanded equal compensation for the four leads, he was quickly replaced by Bruce Willis. It continues on Warner TV with a film based on the novel by Thomas Malory, Le Morte D’Arthur, Excalibur. Liam Neeson’s film debut was presented at the 1981 Cannes Film Festival, where director, screenwriter and producer John Boorman received the award for his artistic contribution.

Death is yours at 9:09 p.m. on Twenty Seven

The aspiring writer Helen Sharp (Goldie Hawn) falls into depression when she discovers her former classmate and actress Madeline Ashton (Meryl Streep) took her boyfriend with her Ernest Melville (Bruce Willis). Furthermore, the discovery that Ernest is going to marry Madeline results in her being admitted to a psychiatric hospital to help her fragile psyche. Twenty years pass and Helen now seems to be a new woman, both professionally, having become an established writer, and outwardly, she presents an enviable figure. On the other hand, Madeline has lost her beauty due to missed work and the crisis in her marriage to Ernest. Desperate, she turns to a mysterious clinic where the doctor Lisle von Rhoman (Isabella Rossellini) convinces her to buy an elixir of life that will make her beautiful and immortal. But the elixir was also taken from Helen and it will mean a life sentence for the two women.

Excalibur at 9:30 p.m. on Warner TV

Merlin the magician (Nicol Williamson) helps the King of Great Britain Uther Pendragon (Gabriel Byrne) to lie with the woman he is in love with, the wife of the Duke of Cornwall, Igrayne (Katrine Boorman). From their union a child is born, Arthur, who is entrusted to Merlin. Meanwhile, Uther falls victim to an ambush by the Duke of Cornwall and, before he dies, sticks his sword Excalibur into a rock and casts a spell on it that says only his heirs can benefit from the sword’s powers and claim the sword directly on the throne. The years pass and the young man Arthur (Nygel Terry), confided Mr. Hector (Clive Swift) will draw his sword to become the new king and surround himself with loyal knights, including Lancelot (Nicholas Clay). But the knight’s meeting with Arthur’s lover, Geneva (Cheri Lunghi) will upset the existing balance.

On Rai 3 we find the documentary The Memory of Emotions, which tells the story of those struggling with Alzheimer’s, a disease that causes the decline of cognitive functions and personality decline. However, what remains alive and alive is the perception of emotions and feelings, especially love and affection for loved ones. Instead, Rai 5 offers La Grande Opera in the Verona Arena: La Traviata with scenes and direction by Franco Zeffirelli. It was the last staged work of the great director, whose 100th anniversary is being celebrated this year.
