Tony Armstrong is preparing to ring in the New Year with his new girlfriend Rona Glynn-McDonald by his side.

The couple were spotted arriving in Melbourne on Saturday and looked relaxed as they walked through the airport together.

ABC News Breakfast sports presenter Tony, 34, looked trendy in a striking black and white puffer jacket, which he wore under an orange shirt and beige trousers.

The moustachioed former soccer star completed his look with black leather boots and a baseball cap.

His musician partner, meanwhile, wore a whimsical green sweater with the words “Welcome To Darwin” and an image of a stork over a colorful blouse and black and white sweatpants.

Trying to fly under the radar, Rona shielded her eyes behind cat-eye sunglasses and wore a yellow bucket hat.

Tony debuted Rona in late November with a series of photos he shared on his Instagram account.

Speaking to Chron Australia at the 2023 TikTok Awards, Tony revealed that things are getting serious between the two and he is happy that the relationship is being accepted by his fans and followers.

“It’s just nice that people know about it now,” Tony said.

“We've been together for a while now. I am happy. [Life] “It’s just been good lately.”

Rona is an incredibly accomplished Kaytetye woman who grew up in Mparntwe (Alice Springs) in Arrernte Country.

She works primarily with First Nations organizations to develop and advise on economic systems that benefit Indigenous Australians.

Founding CEO of Common Ground and Director of First Nations Futures, Rona was also once Director of First Nations at YLab.
