Trump tears up ‘low-ratings dummy’ Bill Maher for saying the Mar-a-Lago raid ‘saved’ his political career.

Trump blasts ‘low-ratings dummy’ Bill Maher for saying the ex-president got a boost in the polls after the Mar-a-Lago raid – and goes after Fox News for ranting about the criticism the comedian reported

  • Donald Trump seemed furious at the comments Bill Maher made on his Aug. 12 broadcast about the Mar-a-Lago raid
  • Maher said the FBI’s unannounced search “politically saved” Trump.
  • “He said I was lucky my house was broken into because it was good for my surveys. Wrong, it was an attack on liberty,” Trump said on Truth Social.
  • However, the ex-president also shared a article reporting on a Politico/Morning Consult poll showing Trump’s support is growing after the raid

Donald Trump stalked comedian Bill Maher on Saturday night for his comments over the weekend claiming the FBI’s unannounced search of Mar-a-Lago gave the former president a much-needed boost of support.

Trump also turned the heat on Fox News, apparently because he was covering the late-night host’s comments on “Real Time With Bill Maher” — where he regularly follows both Democrats and Republicans.

“Anytime low-rated dummy Bill Maher has something nasty to say about your favorite president, Fox finds a way to attract him, usually sandwiched between really bad anti-Trump ads,” the former president raged on his app Truth Social. .

“Maher is a loser, and MAGA understands it – but Fox doesn’t.”

Trump continued, “He said I was lucky my house was broken into because it was good for my polls. Wrong, it was an attack on freedom and very bad for our country, which is incredibly angry right now…”

‘And no, I was and am leading everyone in the POLLS – by A LOT!!!’ he finished it.

On his regular Friday night show last week, Maher said the raid “politically saved Trump” — and doomed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is widely speculated to be a potential contender for the year alongside the former president will be in 2024.

Neither of them have officially declared that they are running. DeSantis has not closed the door on the matter when previously asked, while Trump consistently dropped hints that he will make another bid for the White House.

“His fortunes eventually declined. The big lie finally lost momentum. DeSantis beat him in the polls — you know who hates that more than everyone else? DeSantis,” Maher said.

Speculating what the Florida Republican was thinking, Maher continued, “I had that in the bag, and now I have to face President Martyr.”

“And that saves Trump politically, because now, of course, all Republicans — what are they doing?” he added.

Maher attacked Trump again on his most recently taped show, which aired last week on Friday.

The comedian pointed out that Trump-backed candidates were relatively successful in their primary, with the majority defeating more established Republican figures.

“Say what you want about Mr. Evil, but boy what a politician. I mean, that’s impressive — in a wicked way, but still impressive,” Maher said.

And while Trump denied the crackdown had any impact on his poll numbers, the ex-president also shared a article on Saturday night showing that in a recent poll amid the aftermath of Mar-a-Lago got a decent boost.

The Politico/Morning Consult poll shows support for the ex-president among Republican primary voters rose four points, from 53 percent in mid-July to 57 percent on August 10.

Meanwhile, DeSantis, whose support for 2024 has caught up with and even surpassed Trump’s in several early battlefield polls, saw his share of likely voters fall from 23 percent to 17 percent.

The Aug. 10 poll was conducted two days after the FBI conducted an unannounced search of Mar-a-Lago, but before the federal officers’ warrant was unsealed.
