Tucker Carlson poked fun at his former employer Fox News Thursday for apologizing after calling Joe Biden a “wannabe dictator.” He insisted that the President was indeed dictatorial and compared certain aspects to Saddam Hussein, Kim Il-sung and Nicolae Ceausescu.
Fox aired a chyron featuring Biden and Donald Trump on Tuesday night shortly after Trump was arrested in Miami.
“Would-be dictator speaks at the White House after his political rival is arrested,” the Chyron read.
Fox apologized and Carlson – who was her top-rated presenter until April – mocked the broadcaster for her apology.
“But why were you angry? If the banner on Fox was wrong? “Why the hysteria?” Carlson said on his 13-minute Twitter show, which has replaced his Fox primetime slot.
Tucker Carlson aired the fourth episode of “Tucker on Twitter” on Thursday — this time accusing Joe Biden of behaving like a dictator
“Lies don’t seem to bother anyone anymore.” If some cable news producer called Joe Biden a genius or accused him of being secretly Sudanese, would anyone yell about it? Would Fox News have apologized for that? Probably not.
“But calling Joe Biden a wannabe dictator, that hurt.”
Carlson then began derisively enumerating how Biden could be “impossible” to be a dictator — pointing to government surveillance of phones and bank accounts and crackdowns on “peaceful protest” like the January 6 riot.
“The main reason Joe Biden isn’t a wannabe dictator is because he just doesn’t fit the profile as a man,” Carlson said.
“Dictators look like this: you know them when you see them.”
“Dictators build cults of personality around themselves, and they use those cults to deny the obvious.”
Carlson then compared Biden to North Korea’s dictator Kim Il-sung, the grandfather of the current ruler.
Kim, who ruled from 1948 until his death at the age of 82 in 1994, had a baseball-sized growth on his neck that state media had to hide.
“Fortunately, nothing like this is happening in our country and never will,” Carlson said.
“If Joe Biden ever developed a serious physical or mental condition that was obvious to anyone, journalists would say something.”
“This is not North Korea.” We don’t have state media here.
“For example, if Joe Biden was unable to finish an entire sentence, or mistook his sister for his wife, or suddenly fell in public for no reason, the New York Times would cover it and get to the bottom of it. actually happened.
‘It would be a duty in a free country like ours.’ It’s not like they’re going to cover it up.’
Carlson then compares Biden to Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.
Saddam Hussein is pictured with his sons Uday (left) and Qusay (right). The brothers were killed in a 2003 raid on Mosul; her father was hanged in 2006
“If Joe Biden was a wannabe dictator, he would have the right family – all dictators have that,” Carlson said.
“Saddam Hussein had Uday and Qusay.”
“They were princes who lived above the law and indulged their most decadent fantasies, safe in the knowledge that they would never be held accountable by the police.”
“As the sons of a dictator, they could do exactly what they wanted.”
“There’s no such thing around Joe Biden.”
Carlson then shared a photo of Hunter Biden, the President’s troubled 52-year-old son who has admitted years of drug addiction and destructive behavior and is now under investigation for tax fraud and lying on a gun license application.
“He doesn’t have any weird sex scandals at the heart of his family that no one in the media will ever talk about,” Carlson said.
“He doesn’t have a stupid ex-brother who owned a nightclub who’s made a living from being related to him for over 30 years.”
‘Not at all. That’s dictator stuff.’
The 54-year-old presenter then laughed at Jill Biden, who has a PhD in education.
“Joe Biden doesn’t give his relatives ridiculous, inflated titles that the media then has to take seriously.”
“He doesn’t call people who haven’t studied medicine doctors and makes them nod along like it’s real when everyone knows it’s not.”
“Nicolae Ceausescu did that to his wife Elena.” Joe Biden would never do that.’
