US Congresswoman Marjorie Greene has called Ukraine’s military “Nazis” and slammed President Vladimir Zelenskyy for opposing her country’s holding of a presidential election in 2024.
“Somehow that makes a lot of sense for an actor who wears military green every day, who is funded entirely by US warmongers, who recently canceled elections, controls his state media and has a Nazi army,” he said Thursday. (29) Republican MP on Zelenskyy’s meeting with activist Greta Thunberg and other environmental figures in Kiev to discuss the ecological consequences of the Ukraine conflict.
Greene is opposed to the financial and military aid his country is giving to Kiev. In early June, she accused US officials of being “stupid” about their support for Ukraine.
“Politicians in Washington are beating the war drums and demanding that the American people pay for it,” she said at the time, announcing that she would vote against a new aid package for Kiev.
PROCEED TO RECOMMENDATIONS
In March, Republican politics urged the Ukrainian leader to keep America’s “sons and daughters” out of the conflict in his country.
“Zelenskyy said he wanted our sons and daughters to die in Ukraine,” Greene said.
“In the meantime, I’m going to look at the camera and say straight to Zelenskyy, ‘You’d better stop messing with our sons and daughters because they won’t die there,'” he added.
