Three Arkansas police officers have been fired after a video showing them surfaced online hit a manRandall Worcester, during an arrest, reports The Washington Post.
In the video, posted on TikTok and viewed millions of times on Twitter, one officer can be seen holding down a man while another keeps hitting him on the head. A third hits him with several violent knee blows in the lower back. Worcester was then taken to the hospital before being imprisoned.
An attack on the police led to the arrest
In light of the controversy, the governor of the state of Arkansas responded and made the announcementThe state police are investigating. “I spoke to Colonel Bill Bryant of the Arkansas State Police and the local arrest incident in Crawford County is being investigated using video evidence and inquiries from the DA,” Asa Hutchinson wrote on Twitter.
According to the Associated Press, police said they received a report about it The man allegedly threatened an employee at a supermarket in the town of Mulberry. When officers confronted Randall Worcester, he allegedly pushed an MP to the ground and hit him on the back of the head, which allegedly led to the arrest featured in the video.
