The 80s and 90s shaped the childhood and youth of many people. The 1990s began with the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War. Other important facts were the popularization of the personal computer and also the internet.
With all the technology currently available in smartphones, it’s hard to imagine that decades ago, having a device with insecure access to the network was a privilege for the few.
Much of the information was conveyed to the public through magazines, newspapers and, above all, television. The 90’s were also marked by their creative advertising and unforgettable toys.
It was even allowed to advertise specifically for children on television. In view of this, many famous presenters have partnered with toy brands to launch dolls, cars, board games and other types of items to make the kids happy.
Some names like Mara Maravilha, Eliana, Xuxa Meneghel and characters from the classic soap opera “Chiquititas” got their own dolls.

Artist Hidreley Diao is known for his photo edits on social media. In one post, he used his skills to imagine what famous dolls from the ’80s and ’90s would look like if they were real people.
Diao used the toys’ physical features as a reference to create very interesting images.
