An ice cream parlor’s surveillance camera captured the moment Argentinian Mariano Barbieri, 42, entered the store to ask for help after being stabbed during a robbery in Buenos Aires.
What happened:
The man was reportedly stabbed in the chest, revealed the local press. His cell phone was also stolen. The crime occurred on Wednesday evening (30) in Palermo, a middleclass neighborhood.
Civil engineer Mariano Barbieri was rescued and taken to a hospital after receiving help from customers of the facility. He suffered a cardiac arrest and died in the hospital ward.
The video shows the moment the victim enters the ice cream parlor. He lifts his shirt and points to the wound. People come towards him to help him, but he falls to the ground within seconds.
Nobody was arrested. Local police are trying to find more images to understand the dynamics of the robbery and identify and arrest the attacker.
Investigators found a kitchen knife with possible blood stains in a park near the crime scene on Thursday morning (31). where the robbery is said to have taken place. A piece of clothing was also found. Items must undergo forensic examination.
