The violent collision occurred around 9:28 a.m. The RAM 1500 van crashed violently into the driver of the small car who was crossing the intersection. Under the force of the impact, the driver, a woman in her 40s, became stuck in the passenger compartment of her vehicle, requiring the intervention of firefighters specializing in extrication to free her. confirms Sergeant Audrey-Anne Bilodeau in an interview with Vingt55.
The paramedics and the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) who arrived on the scene had to wait for the firefighters to intervene before attending to the victim, who was then treated by the paramedics. The victim suffered injuries to the lower body and head, but authorities say these injuries are not life-threatening, confirms the spokesman for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
According to authorities, one of those involved, the driver of the van, simply did not see the motorist who had entered the intersection.
