Zuppi will be back tomorrow early afternoon
Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, President of the CEI and currently involved in a listening and humanitarian mission in Moscow as part of an initiative on the war in Ukraine, will return to Rome early tomorrow afternoon. This was announced by the Apostolic Nuncio in Moscow, Giovanni d’Aniello. “The mission that the Holy Father Francis has entrusted to His Eminence Cardinal Zuppi is to identify and promote humanitarian initiatives that will allow us to begin a journey that will hopefully lead to the peace we so long for,” he explained Nuncio was addressed yesterday at the meeting His Eminence had with HE Mr. Uchakov. This morning His Eminence will then meet Mrs Belova, Commissioner for Children’s Rights. In the afternoon there will then be a meeting with His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and in the evening His Eminence will preside over a solemn celebration of the Eucharist in the Cathedral dedicated to Our Lady, where he will meet the Catholic community, who will express the greetings, closeness and prayers of the Saint Father’s will deliver. Tomorrow at last His Eminence will return to Rome on the first afternoon.
