Fighting is taking place in Bakhmut, where Ukrainians are reportedly on the verge of surrender, and in Sloviansk, which has been hit by Russian raids that have gutted a building and left innocent blood: a two-year-old boy died in an ambulance after he had been pulled alive from the rubble. Debris that buried and killed at least five other civilians and injured 18 others. The President is tough Volodymyr Zelenskyy who accuses: “The evil state once again proves its essence.”
In the absence of a glimmer of dialogue between the two parties to the conflict, Western diplomacy continues to urge China to put the ambiguity aside and commit to mediation.
Meanwhile the Russian President Wladimir Putin signed a law on the creation of a digital conscription system more than a year after the start of the Ukrainian Kremlin offensive, which will greatly facilitate the mobilization of Russians in the army.

From Poland “gradual delivery of Mig-29 fighters to Kiev”
Polish President Andrzej Duda said his country will “slowly” deploy Mig-29 fighter jets “in phases” to Ukraine while Poland waits for its air fleet to be refueled by NATO planes. Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said last month that Warsaw could only send a limited number of fighter jets to Kiev. Duda also announced that the Polish Armed Forces have entered into negotiations with Lockheed Martin to discuss the production of new equipment for the Polish military. Poland has so far delivered eight Mig-29s to Kiev and plans to send six more in the coming weeks.
