The new title of Boston Bruins captain hasn’t changed forward Brad Marchand’s habits.
On Wednesday night, during the first game of his season, the 35-year-old hockey player tried to intimidate Chicago Blackhawks junior Connor Bedard. To do this, he tried – urgently – to invite him to his team’s bench.
Marchand was also asked about Bedard before the clash, which ended in a 3-1 win for the Bruins.
Journalists asked the little pest if he had any advice for the 18-year-old. “No, I don’t have one,” Marchand replied simply.
Members of the press insisted on comparing the heights of the two men, saying they were short. “I’m taller than him,” Marchand replied simply.
