WATCH: Fans trip Ronald Acuna on the field

Atlanta Braves player Ronald Acuna Jr. certainly had one of his most unique experiences with fans Monday night at Coors Field.

During a game at the Colorado Rockies’ home stadium, several spectators left their seats midway through the seventh inning to pay a visit to the visiting outfielder.

What started as a hug ended in a tackle as a second fan rushed in and threw the Venezuelan off balance. Meanwhile, four security guards tried to help the athlete by separating him from his new friends.

Both individuals were escorted off the field but continued to make life difficult for security forces and fight like the devil in holy water.

Let’s assume that mishap didn’t worry Acuna Jr. too much, who rode in five runs and hit four safe points in five at-bats. He also stole a 60th base that season, becoming the first player to reach that milestone since 2017.

The Braves (85-45) easily won 14-4 over the poor Rockies (49-82).
