Rempe, a 1.90 meter tall, 110 kilogram giant, is only 21 years old in his fourth NHL game. He already has two battles under his belt. Last week he clashed with Matt Martin of the New York Islanders.
The young attacker also scored the decisive goal at the beginning of the third period. This success was his first in the National Hockey League.
Alexis Lafrenière scored the first goal for the New York team, while Tyson Foerster scored for the local favorite.
The Rangers will be back in action on Sunday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. John Tortorella's men face the Pittsburgh Penguins on the same day.
