ESPN's broadcast of the NBA's in-season tournament finale took a drastic turn when Philadelphia 76ers guard Patrick Beverley asked host Kevin Hart an awkward question.

Beverley was a guest on NBA Unplugged, hosted by comedian Hart, when he suddenly asked a question about Josh Giddey, the Oklahoma City Thunder guard accused of an alleged inappropriate relationship with a minor.

“I have a daughter and I like to think of myself as a girl dad.” “What do you think about the situation with Josh Giddey?” Beverley asked Hart directly.

Not knowing how to respond, a stunned Hart turned to his co-hosts – Joey “J'Dub” Wells, Will Horton and Na'im Lynn – to see if they had anything to say.

After Horton tried to stay out of trouble by talking about reports of what he had seen, Beverley doubled his stake.

“I read that too, I asked what you all thought about it?” “That was my question,” Beverley replied – causing the jury to start laughing at his insistence.

Hart, feeling the need to take control of the situation, replied, “Pat, I heard your question, but I'll tell you what I'm really good at – distracting.”

As the couch laughed at Hart's response, the comedian continued, “I'm a trademark, Pat… I'll text you and tell you my true thoughts.”

“But for now with NBA Unplugged I’m going to keep it as commercial as possible.”

At this point, Hart tried to change the subject by asking Beverley if he liked the color of the blue and red in-season tournament courts.

Apparently Beverley didn't let up on the subject, saying he liked the color of the courts, “but not the prison courts.”

Afterwards, Hart joked that he would throw him out of the show: “I didn't sweat the whole game, Pat.” “As soon as you asked me that question, a sweat ran down my back.”
